Hi! My name is Sofia. I started this magazine because I love art, specifically writing, and I recognize the power it holds in creating community. I founded this zine because I wanted to give people a chance to share their voice and their work with others. When I’m not writing, I love riding my bike around my neighborhood and spending time with my dog Rosie.
Elliot, 17, he/him
I’m Elliot, I’m seventeen and I joined this zine because I’m passionate about uplifting queer voices and creating a community where people can share their art as well as see art that other young people in their community have made. I write poetry, short stories, and I like to draw and do mixed media scrapbooking.
Levi, 16, she/they
Greetings, I am Levi. I like to draw, mostly about series I enjoy as well as lyrics for songs that don’t have lyrics. I am a 16 year old girl, and my hobbies include video games and art. I joined this zine because I think sharing queer stories and art is really important and I wanted to be a part of that.
Mariela, 18, she/her
Hi, I’m Mariela, and I’m thrilled to be on PRISM’s team! I’m a freshman at Bellevue College with plans to major in English. I’m a life-long writer, and storytelling is my greatest passion. At PRISM, I hope to use my love of writing to help create a platform for other teens to share their creativity, explore their identity, and tell their stories. When I’m not reading and writing, I enjoy spending my free time seeing Seattle art events, pampering my pooch, and trying my hand at new crafts.
